I have AS and am curious if anyone else is haveing bone marrow edema in there back, my ribs feel like they are going to explode. I can't seem to get any relief?

I have just started taking humira. I just want to know from someone who has AS does this drug just help with the pain or does it help with the stiffness too? Will I eventually be a little bit more flexible than I am now?

Having a hard time with my feet, feels like walking on rocks, and on fire. I want to get a good pair of walking shoes, but some that I've tried feel heavy and they pull on the back. Has anyone found a brand that works for them. I'm open for suggestions?

Does anyone feel like you ache all over? I have been nursing this disease for the better part of 20 years and I just cannot sleep at night. It is like my hands, feet basically everything just feels weird and uncomfortable...achy etc.

Ok, so I have taken about 8 injections of the Humira... And I'm in AGONY pain.... The pain has now started in my hips... I just want to die.. Its so AWFUL! Please anyone have any suggestions at all? I'm so sick and tired of having to take pain medication.. I thought taking the Humira, I would eventually be able to stop taking the pain meds... HELP!

So i'm having a new symptom... I woke up this morning with pain in my left shoulder, that seemed to be originating in my upper back/neck. I popped a couple of pain pills and hopped on my horse to ride (anyway) and it felt okay, until the meds wore off. Now my whole upper back and neck are in Agonizing pain and the pain radiates down my arms to about the elbow... Anyone else?

Hi everyone my 1st post/question, I live in South Louisiana, Hurricane Isaac's low pressure is is causing me to feel severe pressure alone my spine, shoulders, and other joints. Has anyone felt like this, could this be the AS? I haven't been able to find away to ease it.

Hi everyone, I was wondering does anyone have trouble with their hands, my left hand is numb on the little and wedding ring fingers and my right hand has very little strength I have muscle wastage on the inside of palm as well the doctors thought I had MS at first that is how I finally got my AS diagnosis?

Hi my names Laura and I have just been diagnosed with A S at the ripe old age of 47, I have no family history of A S so I am in the dark at the moment. I am being referred to see a Rheumatologist but until then I don't know quite what to expect I was seeing a pain clinic because no one thought there was anything really wrong with me. I had been in pain for about 7 years on and off but the last 2 years have been really bad sometimes I don't know how I got out of bed sometimes?

Does anyone know if it's possible to have the pain element of AS without fusing showing? I have the gene, and have been suffering pain in my neck, shoulders, ribs, lower back, hips and down left arm and leg for last few years - MRI scans show no sign of fusing. Any advice would be great, thanks.
