Does 600 or 800 mg ibuprofen 3x/day for extended periods of time actually help with joint/bone inflammation caused by AS, or does it really only help with pain (and this is with no other medications being taken)?

Has anyone switched off humira (or any other biologic) due to side effects or reduced effectiveness? What were your reasons for switching off, and what did you switch to?

Hi, I live in the UAE and have only just recently been diagnosed. My Doctor, from another country wanted to put me on mild muscle relaxants but they're not allowed here. The best pain relief I can get a the moment is Arcoxia or panadol night. Does anyone else know of anything better or more effective that's allowed here, that I should be asking for? Many thanks in advance.

Hey guys, hope everybody here is doing great and staying pain free. I'm just wondering if anybody here takes Tramadol for pain medication. If so, do you find it to affect your mood? I dunno if it's just me but sometimes I find it leaves me very easily agitated or easily upset a while after taking or even the next day.

Anyone on TNF blockers and NSAIDs also take something for "breakthrough" pain? About once every 6-8 weeks I have a really bad day that I treat with wine...

Do you ever call your Dr and ask to refill pain meds early? We are going out of town, and travelling in a car, etc, and I want to make sure I have my meds so I am not miserable.

Just started taking methotrexate 2.5ml 6 pills a week along with 1mg of folic acid a day. I've been on humira for about 6 months. My question is did anyone have bad side effects to mtx? I have gotten bad headaches blood in stool and headaches. Does this get better after the first dose? My family is really worried and don't want me to take it anymore. I have a call into the doc and should hear from him tomorrow.

I asked my rhumy to try Humera and being on medicaid my co pay would be 319.00! Being on SSI there is no way 'I can afford that co pay. Is there anything else someone has tried? I've been on Fentenyl patch about 8 years and was on celebrix about the same but needed to get off because of bleeding and needed a blood transfusion. So I'm on Endocet now. I have had AS since18 diagnosed at 45.
