How was everyone diagnosed? I was just recently diagnosed by my bone and MRI scans, inflammation markers, and symptoms. But I tested negative for the HLA-B27 test.

Another query... My MRI showed there was no active inflammation in my SI joints or lumbar spine area. Is that because I am taking NSAIDs? Will the inflammation return if I stop taking those meds? How long does it take inflammation to start? Why do I feel sore if I forget to take my tablets one night? If I am not having inflammation, does that mean I don't have AS and it won't turn into AS?

Hey, I have my apt with my dr to talk about my MRI /cat scan results. I am nervous because although I have all the symptoms, there was only damage that is (I'm assuming wear and tear- I'm 29). Disc desiccation, focal kyphosis, and two herniated discs. Enbrel has helped so much and I really only hurt after rest. Do you think he'll switch my dx? Ive had symptoms for two years and had TNf inh. For over a year, I don't really doubt I have AS, but will the scans give my dr doubts?

I have every single symptom of AS, if not more. Yet, my bloodwork, xrays and MRI's are all normal. Is it possible I could still have this disease? I know SOMETHING is wrong with me because being in constant pain is not normal. I haven't been right since I had my last child ten months ago and I have a very long history of unexplained "injuries", tendonitis, and other ailments that shouldn't happen to a young person. I'm only 32.
