I find a firm deep tissue massage very relaxing and it seems to help my neck and lower back pain. Unfortunately massage therapists aren't covered by my health insurance provider and $100 a pop adds up. I've heard that chiropractors use massage and heat as part of their treatment. I'm wondering if they'll do this without trying to "adjust" my fused areas?

Does anyone see a Chiropractor? Does it help? My SI joints, lower and upper back hurt so bad. I am allergic to most of the medications suggested, so I try to maintain the pain through diet.

How do you feel about going to the Chiropractor when you have AS? Has it helped? I have both AS and Psoriatic Arthritis and family has encouraged me to try a chiropractor. Any thoughts on this?
