If we have any researchers reading the forum, can we please get some study of the foot issues? It's a common complaint among AS sufferers, yet none of the literature seems to address this matter. It seems to involve rigidity and limited mobility in the Achilles tendon and severe pain in the plantar and metatarsal areas. A few have been diagnosed with Cavus deformity, but many of us remain undiagnosed and untreated.

Does anyone know of any active research going on for AS? It seems to me that there has not been a lot of new info in the last couple of years. Thanks

Entered the global gov't clinical study for AS in Houston this week, was seen by a world renown rheumy. Very cold & clinical, will have my results in 2 wks. Anyone had any relief or good come out of a study? Felt like a rat under a microscope!

A strange question, I realize, but I will ask it anyway: What were the diagnostic tests that diagnosed your condition to begin with? Mine were rather nebulous, but I have all the symptoms of SA, etc...

Hi, Jerry. I am a 43 year old female and just started having symptoms about 4 years ago. I have had some mild bouts of psoriasis over the years (VERY mild.) I am not a Laplander, but am 100% Scandinavian (Latvian.)?
