In The Family Of A... Questionsrss

Has anyone had their doctor tell them they don't have AS but a disease that's in the family of AS? My doctor says I have all the symptoms of AS except my spinal x-ray is normal. I was diagnosed at the age of 20 with a disease in the family of AS. I am 37 now. With a pain tolerance that would make Superman fall to his knees....lol (exaggerated, but you get the point). I have gone weeks, months, without any pain at all then out of know where it will flare up. I take indomethacin for pain.
