  Lifting does radically affect your spine! How can they ask you this, Joanne, when you are disabled. Pressure on the spine is what causes spinal compression and all the baggage that goes with it. A compressed spine is bad for the circulation and nerves from the waist downwards and makes you feel ill everywhere else!

  Hiya, Thank you. Its difficult. My current job requires heavy lifting I scrub for cases where  i have to lift up to 15 heavy trays 3 times and stand for up to 5 hours in one place. They may have to redeploy me. I was scared to admit that heavy lifting is a problem. I dont get severe pain but I ache later. They are hot on manual handling. I feel like I'm useless. I hope they find something more appropriate for me and have a new start. Can I ask?I get pain in my hands and feet is this part of the condition. It hurts when I grip and lift?
