Has anyone experienced extreme hunger right before its time for their next Humira dose? Is it because for 8 days after my 1st (2nd is later today) injection I was so nauseated I couldn't eat so my body wants to "catch up" or is it a side-effect?

Yup, we discussed it the other week on this thread: http://answers.ankylosing.org/47006/does-anyone-else-crave-food-just-before-a-flare-in-recent-weeks-in-addition-to-a-fever-ive-found/
I am on Enbrel not Humira, but yes I was just starving 2 nights ago (ate double my normal dinner) and I'm due for a shot this morning.
There seemed to be a bunch of us with unusual hunger either before a flare - or maybe, just before another TNF-blocker shot. I am fascinated by this new discovery!

WOW! I missed that discussion. Glad to know I'm not the only one! I'm definitely amazed about this new "result". Basically, I just have to learn how to "just say no" to my crazy cravings! I crave all the bad things also of course which I'm normally a fruit & veggie person. To be honest I figured since I was vomiting & nauseated for 8 days that I was just making up for lost time, lol. by Amanda 2 years ago
Interesting. I have been on Enbrel for 3 years and now humira for 9 months and never have experienced this.
If you couldn't eat, eventually your body will demand to catch up. Definitely! Had extreme nausea and inability to eat on other medication, followed by intense hunger till I was caught up to where I would be if I had been eating normally all along.
