Hi guys,The Drs say that my thyroid has taken a big blow with this.Have just started the medication and is really not sitting to well with me.Just wondring if you are on these med how these affected you and if it took you a while for themto settle in?
Ok, this is either scary or amazing. Everytime I see one of these posts its something I've been diagnosed with as well. I definitely feel better coming here. I'm on Levothyroxine every day too. Thyroid problems, blood pressure problems...looks like we've got it all :(
I take .125 of Levothyroxine for my Thyroid. I had problems with my hands and feet for about 15 years. I asked about arthristis and was told it was my thyroid. Would get the test back that I had a good balance of meds and yet I still had the pain. Twelve years later dx'ed with AS.
It would be helpful if you would share what meds you are on. It is difficult to answer blind because we most probably all have a different regime that we follow and different levels of and side issues of AS.
Are you seeing an Endocrinologist for your Thyroid and a Rheumatologist for your AS and do you have a good primary care physician that can keep track of everything and keep all the balls in the air at the same time? I think it is really important not to get fragmented with your health care.
Also a lot of people with AS seem to have Thyroid problems. I am learning that there are several things that AS can affect because it is an autoimmune disease. I hope you have good/pain free days ahead. by Patricia 2 years ago
