How many of you were born a "toe-head" and had a dramatic shift into a darker color, over a quick period of time in your youth? For instance, at about 12 my hair stopped growing blonde and grew in solid reddish brown. Cont. Reading below...

When i was a kid I had blonde hair. Then my hair grew light chestnut/light brown. Now I'm striping it blonde. My mother had blonde/light brown hair when she was a kid. Now she has very dark brown hair. My father had brown hair, and his hair also grew very dark brown when he grew up. My oldest sister has dark brown hair (she is O+-), and my to younger siblings (rh-) have the same hair color as me.

I used to have brown hair, which would go a bit darker during the cold winter months. Now, my hair is very dark , almost black, and stays that way year round.

I too switched from straw-straight hair to wavy during my AS treatment. I think it was the Enbrel that did it.

My hair color has always been about the same, but since I started getting sick, my hair has gone from bone straight to "extremely" curly and frizzy.  My entire family had very straight hair like me, so where this curly hair just came from, has gotten me so confused...as well as the lady that cuts my hair.

I was born with a head full of dark hair.  Mine has been dark brown ever since.  I did start getting grey in my early 20's but I think it is genetic.  I got a patch of grey right on the at the widows peak.  People use to think I spent money to do this.  My step son was born as tow head, then the white hair, and it started turning around around the 6th grade.  I think what you are experiencing is the normal process with tow heads.  Both of the boys in my family were tow heads (ended up with a lighter brown), while us girls had dark hair.

I was born totally bald and when my hair came in it was white. Stayed that way til I was about 8 or so and then want light strawberry blonde. It is now auburn and so think I cant stand it. Something strange about my hair is that the more I am in the sun...the darker it gets. I have had silver hair throughout my head since late teens but no patches of it.

I was strawberry blonde as a kid, but am very dark auburn now.  I do have some gray hair but they are pretty much hidden & due to medication my hair has really thinned out.  Thank goodness for a fabulous stylist/colorist!

I was a very lite blonde with a hint of red when I was born but now have a much darker sander/dishwater kind of blonde. My first boy is starting to do the same thing. My second boy was born with brown hair. My two girls are dishwater blondes with lite blonde highlights. My last three kids are with a different mother (my wife). Their mom has brown hair with blonde highlights. My first one has the gene but I don't know his Rh factor. He does have juvenile RA though. His mom has black hair. I was birthed normal. My first boy Kade had to be turned. My second was head first and my two girls were c-sectioned out.

OR did any of you turn grey/silver totally or have patches in your hair under age 20-25, like in your teens?
