I have been wondering if it would be fine to dance (social or just to dance to the music) with problems of the feet with AS? I have had some erosion to the bones to my feet when I was first diagnosed with AS. My last MRI showed no change to the bones of my feet. I will go for my annual MRI in the spring. I used to do dance aerobics and I would love dance .

While Amori sounds a little pessimistic her advice to listen to your body is unchallengeable.  Extremely important is to make sure you have good arch support and women should forget about wearing high heels as they will stress those important joints and actually stimulate fusion.

Dancing can be very bad for your feet, depending on what type of dance you're talking about.  I would be sure to have the very best support for your feet, and I would avoid any Irish-step, tap, ballet, some forms of ballroom, or baile folklorico.  It kills me to say that, but now not being able to walk at times, I think I should mention that it can get pretty bad.  I had to give up the step and baile, but I still do Zumba when I'm not flared up.  It is a great form of exercise, but if your body starts telling you to stop, you should listen.  I did not.  :[
